What would be the easiest way to make sure my saves and mods are available on both-would it make sense to upload the folders somewhere every now and then and redownload if I’m using my Mac? I feel dumb for asking this part but not sure what the best way to go about this is or if it’s even possible at all.

I think I need to do it on OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox(?)Īlso, do you know if I’ll still be able to use my Origin account on both? I saw another post recently saying that it’d be possible to log in on two separate computers but that saves won’t automatically transfer, which makes sense now that I think about it but it’s annoying. What’s the easiest way to transfer everything over? What do I need to make sure not to forget? I’m going to look it up but worried I’ll forget something. I took my saves, tray and mods folder and put that on a hard drive. There are however a couple of technical aspects to take into consideration which this post aims to. package format doesnt change between the two operating systems. Standard mods and cc work equally well (or not at all) in both OSs, and the Sims 4 user folder has the same form and function as well. If you have mods or save files you want to keep, just plop them right in. For Sims 4, the process of installing mods and custom content on a Mac is the same as it is on a Windows PC.

This is my first time using a PC in years. Ive done this, and I ended up just reinstalling Origin onto the external hard drive and then downloading the sims onto it from there. I’d love the option to keep playing on my Mac occasionally if that’s possible but obviously the Acer will be my primary one for TS4. then my pc broke from other reasons and then I was given a 2011 MBP and i didn’t even bother putting cc into the game since I knew it probably couldn’t handle it. I treated myself to a gaming laptop (Acer Nitro 5!) and will be switching over from my MacBook Air. I originally bought a pc when I first got the sims 4, and it handled cc pretty well, I had over 4000+ files of cc.
